What I've learned ...

Blogging is awesome. I've used it more as like a personal journal to write down comments about my day and how everything has gone. It's been fun and I have even received a few comments by random people. I cannot wait to use my BLOG in a real classroom. It will be really fun, and I am sure the students will think it is just so cool that we are able to do that. Blogging is a computer skill that I will always want to remember...

My Observation...

I had my first 3rd grade observation today. It went pretty well. I scored a 30/30, which is awesome, but I was so nervous about the lesson. My teacher wanted me to present the idea of multiplication using addition, and at first, I was like "Oh My God ... How am I ever going to pull that off?" But then, after talking to my teacher, she gave me some ideas and some tips on how I should go about doing the lesson, and as you can tell, everything turned out pretty good!

My first week in 3rd grade

Well, this past Monday and Tuesday were my first 2 days in 3rd grade. I love it. These students are so independent and so smart, and they get so many assignments completed. This is a big step from 1st grade. The students are so sweet and intellegent. My clinical teacher is awesome, so I just know I am going to have a great time in this third grade for the next two months!

My Friend's baby shower ...

Isn't it weird how you go to college, meet thousands of new people, and only seem to keep in touch with a few of them? Well, my freshman year, I met a girl named Kristen. We didn't talk much at first, but then we became good friends. After our first semester, we really didin't have any classes in common, but we still have remained in touch. Well, now almost 4 years later, we are still in contact. She had a baby shower on Saturday, that me and my daughter attended. We don't get to see much of each other because of our schedules, but it sure was good to see her again.

Survival of another week

Well, I got through the week OKAY! Finally, the weekend. I wish weekend days were just free days, like you didn't have to do anything at all. But instead, in my case, I am trying to catch up on cleaning, and laundry, and homework, and preparing for the next week, that it almost seems as if there was no weekend at all. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I work on Saturday and Sunday also!

Yeah .. it's my week off!

Ok, so today is supposedly the start off our week break, even though it really isn't a week off because we have regular class all week long, plus managment on Thursday and ESOL Placement on Friday, but whatever! It's rough being in school, taking all of these courses and being in the classroom 3 days a week, but hey, what I am complaining for? That's life ...

Finally, a day off...

I finally have a day off, well, with the exception of working tonight and Sunday morning, and the weather outside is horrible! It has been pouring down rain since sometime last night, so I am stuck in doors all day, and I guess that I will just make this an opportunity to complete some homework and projects. I also finished my first grade placement on Tuesday, and even though it was a big relief and accomplishment, not to mention I got a perfect observation score from my supervisor ( ;-) yeah!), I am gonna miss those little guys...
